Getting Ready to Train

Before your first session, make sure you have:

  • A small space to move (2x2 meters is enough)
  • Comfortable workout clothes
  • Water nearby
  • Optional: Training gloves, focus mitts

Types of Training

SAMI-X offers several ways to train:

Guided Trainings

Guided trainings are video-led workout sessions where you follow along with an instructor. They're perfect for beginners because:

  • Clear instructions for each technique
  • Warm-up and cool-down included
  • Various difficulty levels
  • Sessions from 10 to 60 minutes

  • Choose a training based on your level and available time
  • Press play and follow along!

  • Technique Library

    The technique library contains individual technique videos organized by combat system. Use it to:

    • Learn specific techniques at your own pace
    • Review techniques after a guided training
    • Build your own training playlist

    Live Trainings

    Join real-time training sessions with SAMI instructors. Live trainings allow you to:

    • Train with others from around the world
    • Get real-time feedback
    • Ask questions during the session
    Live trainings require a Plus membership or higher.

    Your First Guided Training

    We recommend starting with a Beginner level guided training:

  • Navigate to Guided Trainings
  • Filter by Difficulty: Beginner
  • Choose a 15-20 minute session
  • Follow the on-screen instructions

  • Tips for Success

    • Start slow: Don't worry about perfection in your first sessions
    • Stay consistent: Even 10 minutes daily is better than one long session per week
    • Use the pause button: Take breaks when needed
    • Track your progress: Mark lessons as complete to see your advancement
