Navigating the SAMI-X App

App Overview

On the web, you navigate with the sidebar on the left on large screens, and with the menu icon in the top right in narrow windows. The header holds search, messages, notifications and your profile menu. In the SAMI-X app for iPhone and Android, navigation sits in the bar at the bottom — see "Mobile Navigation".

Main Navigation

Always Visible

• Home — your personalized dashboard with progress, recommendations and upcoming dates
• Pinned — your pinned pages, once you have pinned some

• Search — see below
• Messages and Notifications
• XP — your points; a click shows your level and how to earn XP
• Profile picture — opens the profile menu with Profile, Achievements, Account (Account, Manage Billing, Diplomas, Email Settings, Privacy), Membership, My Purchases, Theme, Accent Color, Help & Support (Support, Help Center), Legal & Privacy and Log out

Train

• Guided Trainings — training sessions to follow along with
• Live Trainings — real-time sessions with SAMI instructors
• Private sessions — private lessons, where offered
• Workouts — your own, saved and generated workouts
• Courses & Seminars — in-person seminars and courses

Learn

• Programs — structured training programs, where available
• Online Courses — your courses, the course catalog and the collections as tabs
• Technique Library — all techniques by Combat System
• System Guide — an overview of all SAMI Combat Systems
• My Playlists — your personal video playlists
• Exams — exams for your Combat Systems

Discovering courses in Online Courses

The recommendations in Online Courses can suggest courses and collections based on your
interests. When no personalized recommendation profile is available, your selected
Combat Systems are used where possible. Course recommendations open the course
information and offer page in your current language. Courses with an existing
purchase or enrollment record are omitted from these discovery recommendations;
continue them from your enrolled courses instead. A recommendation does not mean
that the course is included in your membership. Check the offer page for access
and pricing.

Community

• My Center — your SAMI Center, if you are connected to one
• Community — posts, groups and training partners
• SAMI Centers — training centers worldwide
• SAMI Instructors — find your coaches and instructors: their profile has their dates, courses and videos, and private lessons where they are offered

Below that are the Shop and the collapsed More section with Blog, New content and Affiliate Program. The Help Center is in the profile menu under Help & Support. If you are an instructor or manage a center, your tools are in the collapsed Management section.

Using the Sidebar

• Collapse and expand: with Collapse sidebar or Expand sidebar at the bottom of the sidebar
• Pin: put frequently used pages into the Pinned section

Pinning Items

1. Hover over an item in the sidebar
2. Click the pin icon that appears (Pin to sidebar)
3. The item appears in the Pinned section; there you can drag it into a new order or remove it again

Search

The search field is in the header; in narrow windows it is behind the magnifier icon. You can filter results by type, for example:

• Techniques and lessons
• Trainings, workouts and live trainings
• Seminars, collections and courses
• Centers and instructors
• Products and blog

On a computer you can also open search with Cmd/Ctrl + K.

Mobile Navigation

On the web on your phone: tap the menu icon in the top right. The menu opens from the right:

• at the top, your profile card with your membership and XP — tap it to open your profile
• Home and New content (with a red dot while an update is unread)
• Pinned — your pinned pages; tap the pin icon to unpin one
• Train, Learn and Community as tiles, the same entries as in the sidebar
• More with Shop, Blog and Affiliate Program
• Management, if you are an instructor or manage a center — each area expands on its own
• Account with Membership, Settings, Purchases & invoices, Help & Support and Log out

Achievements, diplomas, email settings and privacy are reached through the profile card. There is no bar at the bottom on the web.

In the SAMI-X app: the bar at the bottom leads to Home, Courses, Activities, Community and Menu; the menu holds the rest of the navigation. Your avatar in the top left opens your profile with Membership, Purchases, Account, Notifications, Help Center and Support.
