SAMI-X Panantukan

About Panantukan

SAMI Panantukan, also known as Filipino Boxing, is a martial art that integrates elements from boxing, Muay Thai, and Kali. Fast, effective, and uncompromising — street boxing at the highest level.

Origins & Evolution

Originally developed from traditional weapon combat systems, Panantukan distinguishes itself through its adaptability and fluidity. Unlike classical boxing, it employs fists, elbows, open hands, headbutts, kicks, and manipulation techniques including joint locks and trapping. The system targets an opponent's vulnerabilities systematically and avoids unnecessary movements in real-world self-defense scenarios.

Training Philosophy

SAMI Panantukan Concept is a fighting system with no limits. It contains techniques such as punches with the fists and the palms, the forearms and the elbows, knee-strikes, kicks, punches to the eyes and ears, bars, crushing, pulling and pushing of the opponent, and techniques to disturb the opponent's balance.

Training encompasses more than technical instruction. It emphasizes effectiveness, speed, dynamics, timing, precision and its typical flow of action. Unlike competitive boxing and kickboxing, this system utilizes the entire body as a weapon, creating its own discrete identity. Training occurs with or without boxing gloves, making it particularly suitable for self-defense applications.
