This live session focuses on the SDS Concept and the practical use and tactical application of everyday objects for personal protection. The goal is to develop realistic, stress-resistant skills that are simple, effective, and immediately applicable.
During the session, we work with everyday objects—such as bags, backpacks, bottles, chairs, and similar items—as well as a kubotan and other common self-defense tools, showing how they can be used as practical protective and defensive options. You will learn which objects are suitable, how to hold and control them correctly, and how to apply them tactically to protect yourself in real-world situations.
Key training elements include:
Functional grip variations and safe handling
Stance, balance, and distance management
Applications from different distances
Combining techniques into fluid sequences
Transitions from guard into clinch and close-range situations
A core element of this live session is solo training. Many drills are designed so you can train without a partner, making this session ideal for online participants while still providing structured, realistic, and intensive training.
Benefits of this live session:
A clear understanding of the SDS Concept
Practical and tactical skills using everyday objects and self-defense tools
Improved coordination, timing, and control
Effective solo drills for continued personal training
Increased confidence in personal protection situations
This live session is suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners and integrates seamlessly into other SAMI-based systems and training concepts.
