SAMI-X Mini Family Workshop – Self-Assertion & Initial Self-Defense

A 2-hour workshop for children aged 5 to 8 years and their parents.

In this SAMI-X Mini Family Workshop, children learn together with their parents the basics of self-assertion and initial, age-appropriate elements of self-defense.

The focus is on presence, boundaries, perception, and simple protective reactions – playfully, understandably, and without fear.

What to Expect

• Self-assertion for children: voice, posture & clear presence
• “Saying stop”, creating distance & seeking help
• Child-friendly perception exercises: What feels right?
• Simple, safe basic techniques for initial self-defense
• Clear emergency rules for everyday situations
• Joint parent-child exercises for trust & safety
• Movement, play & positive success experiences

The emphasis is clearly on prevention and self-confidence, complemented by initial simple protective reactions.

Who is the Workshop For?

• For children aged 5 to 8 years with at least one caregiver
• No prior knowledge necessary
• Bring comfortable clothing, something to drink & a joy for movement
