Instructor training for operational trainers

Requirements, duration, certification, equipment and costs of the SAMI-X PRO instructor training

Last updated 24/10/2026

The structure of SAMI-X PRO with its components, dates and the enquiry form are on the page For authorities.

What are the admission requirements for the training?

No specific prior training is required for our training, however a governmental background is advantageous. Of course, full unblemished character is a basic prerequisite — a certificate of good conduct must be presented upon request. Minimum age for instructors: 24 years.

How long does the training last and what is the schedule?

The duration of our training varies depending on the courses pursued and the individual progress of participants. The general SAMI-X PRO instructor training is progressively structured and depends on the training level. In the training seminars, participants are generally taught separately by training level to ensure each student gets the most out of the training. A training seminar in which a level or part of a level can be completed lasts 3 days. More detailed information on duration and schedule is available upon registration or by contacting our team.

Are there certifications or degrees after completing the training?

Yes, of course! After completing each training level, participants receive a corresponding certification and/or the corresponding instructor rank. (An active SAMI instructor license is a prerequisite here.) An advantage is that many authorities recognize these certifications as part of their training and continuing education programs. For individual on-site training, certifications are also issued to document the completion and skills acquired. Certifications can be important for professional development or career opportunities.

What equipment is needed and is it included in the training price?

The required equipment varies by course and availability. Generally, training is conducted with official equipment. If this is not available, training weapons such as pistol and baton, as well as holster and protective equipment are advantageous. If training weapons are not available or cannot be brought to the seminar, we will gladly provide them to ensure that all participants can optimally complete the training.

What are the costs and payment options?

The costs for our training vary by course and can be viewed in the course schedule. When booking a seminar, there is the option to pay immediately with common payment options or to pay on-site. Participants who choose immediate payment receive video material in advance for some seminar formats to prepare for the seminar. This way they can optimally prepare for the training and get the most out of the training experience.
